Cerulean

She stood giggling in the soppy sand
With the ice cream cone carelessly dripping, melting into the blue brine
Strolling onto dry sand
I catch a closer glimpse of the sun bleached child
With eyes the shade of the shallow shore
The adolescent introduces herself as Cerulean
And she grinned a little
as if she knew her name was given to her with clear intentions

Scarlet Ecstasy

Golden, gritty sand
The sky is ablaze with color
fiery orange, searing reds
The outer edges of the blazing sky have begun to braid into a cool indigo night
Swirls of clouds
The tides tune decrescendos
The smell of the salty sea lingers throughout my sinuses
Hypnotic breeze blanketing my inner thoughts
Eyes glazed over in a trance captivated in the tropical paradise

When I pass a test I didn’t study for
